We seek to maintain the beauty and health of Fishers Creek.

MESSAGE FROM THE PREVIOUS PRESIDENT

The Coalition for the Preservation of Fishers Creek was formed in 1992 for the purpose of maintaining a viable creek and refuge for over 25 different fish, birds and marine animals plus over 7 types of flora. This corporation was developed by the land owners who live along its shore.

Every 10-15 years the creek requires maintenance of the mouth to keep it from silting in and leading to the development of a swamp. This cost has been borne by contributions from owners who border on the creek.

We now need to repair and add a new jetty plus re-dredge the mouth of the creek where it enters the James River.

A 501c3 status was established in 2017 and will hopefully help create more donations.

Bishop Read, Past President
